AGM-June 23rd, 2026

The Annual General Meeting for St. John’s Minor Hockey Association is scheduled for June 23, 2026 at 7pm at the Capital Hotel on Kenmount Road

In preparation for the AGM, the Association issued a Call for Nominations for positions on the Board of Directors that will become vacant at the AGM. Nominations for board positions closed May 24, 2026.

The following Board members will be completing the second year of their two (2) year term during the upcoming 2026/2027 Season:

Vice President: Steve Barnes

All Star Director: Vaughan Benson

At Large Director: Rebecca Phillipps

At Large Director: Jason Hussey

The following Board of Director positions were up for election and the following candidate will be elected by acclamation at the June 2026 AGM:

President: John Cowan (2 year term)

Female Director: Robyn Brown (1 year term)

The following Board of Director positions are up for election for a two (2) year term at the June 2026 AGM and the following nominations have been accepted. An election will be held at the AGM to determine who will fill these positions. Information regarding the voting procedure can be found in the "Important Documents" section of our website under "Governance".

U9 Director (2 year term):

Jillian Greene

Lauren Wadden

Stephanie Picco

U11/U13 Director (2 year term):

Peter Hurley

Samantha Tetford

U15/U18 Director (2 year term):

-no nominations received

-as per our Governance, if no nomination is received for a particular Executive position as of the closing date then nominations can be made from the floor of the Annual General Meeting. All nominations from the floor shall require a seconder.

Treasurer (2 year term):

-no nominations received
